The story of Pandit Ranjan Malam began in 1894 in Vengurle, Konkan, when Vithal Gopal Pandit, a respected criminal attorney, formulated an Ayurvedic ointment named “Ranjan”. Recognizing its effectiveness for a wide range of skin issues, he officially registered the product in 1918. It later came to be known as the Pandit Ranjan Malam, a name now deeply rooted in trust and tradition.

After Vithal Pandit, the legacy was carried forward by his son Sitaram Pandit, and then by his grandson Jagannath Pandit, who took charge of the business at just 11 years old following his father’s passing in 1942. Despite limited resources and personal challenges, he protected the family’s heritage through tough times, including regulatory shifts that required the product to be officially classified under Ayurveda.

Due to the lack of laboratory infrastructure in Vengurle, the business relocated to Mumbai in 1958. Even without formal education, Jagannath Pandit established a strong manufacturing base and later, in 1975, opened the first official Pandit Ranjan Depot. Over time, the product evolved from a simple formulation sold at eight annas to a widely trusted Ayurvedic remedy, packaged in a modern, user-friendly container.

Today, the fourth generation of the Pandit family, led by Pramod Pandit, continues the mission. Manufactured in Mumbai, Pandit Ranjan Malam is now sold across Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Goa, with a vision to expand nationally. Despite its growth, the commitment remains unchanged: to preserve the original quality and effectiveness of this 125-year-old Ayurvedic ointment that provides fast, natural relief for burns, cuts, boils, swelling, piles, and skin infections.
